Brief: Create an in-app feature that capitalizes on Gen Z's digital connectivity while translating to meaningful, real life experiences.
The Explore section of Airbnb will feature ‘Adventures with Buddies,’ where users can find events and activities to enjoy with fellow Gen Z members, reducing feelings of loneliness.
How it works:
‘Adventures with Buddies’ will display the activity, the number of people attending/who, and details about the event.
For events hosted by Buddies, there will be an attendance fee. However, for simple activities like hikes, there may be no fee. The fee will be determined by the host.
This feature is within the Airbnb app but, as the program grows, it can become its own app.
Once users RSVP, they will be added to a group chat where they can ask questions or offer to bring items for the activity.
Activities can range from themed picnics that require an RSVP fee to free walks in the park or even book club meetings. The goal is to help Gen Z users connect IRL.
